Moosical Fun for your Little One:
Moo Music classes are more than just a music class! We sing, we dance, we play and we have fun. Our sessions are a lovely way to interact in some creativity with your little one. Your children can enjoy our fantastic original songs developed by Early Years Educators and professional musicians whilst engaging in imaginative role play, sign language, sensory play and parachute games to name just a few of our activities. All this alongside the singing, movement and instrument work that you would expect at a music based class. Classes not only develop musical ability and enjoyment but they can also contribute to your child's speech and language development, motor development and social skills. Mixed age sessions are ideal for siblings of different ages whilst Baby Moo is a lovely session aimed at little ones who are not yet walking. Although our classes are currently running online, they are still lots of fun! You don't need any particular equipment but can use things you will already have at home. With 4 LIVE sessions each week (that can be watched back at any time) and related activities, there is lots to keep our little Moovers entertained whilst safe at home! A bit about us...
I am Lindsey and I am the owner of Moo Music Wirral West & South. I am a qualified Performing Arts teacher, a trained children's nurse and a mum to three little boys! I am very passionate about the creative and performing arts and strongly believe in the benefits of music, movement and creative play. Since opening Moo Music West Wirral in February 2015 I have been having the best time at the classes - it's a real joy to work in such a fun environment and a real honour to watch children develop and grow in confidence. Planning the lessons is great fun too! We have a different theme every week and its brilliant to see the children's faces when they see the props and equipment! Some of our classes are open to mixed ages so it's nice to see brothers and sisters having fun together.
One of my mums described my class as a "new adventure every week" and that is what I aim for. Songs are repeated as little one's love familiarity but it is amazing how quickly they learn the songs which soon become firm favourites alongside the well known traditional nursery rhymes.
My experience as a Performing Arts teacher means that there is a lot of imaginative play in my sessions and as everything is tied in with the Early Years Curriculum your children will be learning without even realising it! For the baby siblings who come along to class I plan in sensory activities for them to engage in whilst the older children do something more challenging but usually find that the babies are much more interested in our bigger moovers - it's very entertaining to watch!
Baby Moo sessions have been a big hit since launching in September 2015 - these sessions are slightly shorter and a bit calmer with lots of emphasis on interaction between babies and carers. They are still themed each week but some parts of the class stay the same for familiarity - for example, every baby gets their own Peekaboo Bag at the start of each sessions which we explore by singing "Little Fingers", a song which is a firm favourite with the Baby Moovers! Moo Music Wirral West & South is expanding all the time and we have lots of exciting things planned!
